With each new year comes new resolutions, predictions and hopes. At Heartfelt USA, our mission is to provide the best eco friendly, natural products and get rid of as many disposables as possible.
Resolutions
One of our new year's resolutions this year is bring awareness about disposables and the harm they are doing to the earth and sometimes even your health. For instance, did you know that the average woman throws away 250-300 pounds of pads, plugs and applicators in their lifetime? If you are trying to cut down on your waste, this seems like a great way to introduce reusables! Reusable pads are not only going to help you cut the amount of waste you make but also help save you money. Another benefit of using a reusable pad is that it does not contain Rayon, which is produced from wood pulp. There are some companies like this one, this one, and this one that use 100% organic cotton, however these tampons still end up in landfills. Reusable pads can be used more, therefore reducing your waste as well as your cost.

Predictions
As we head into 2018, we predict that more homes are going to find reusable solutions in an effort to cut down on waste. One item that is fairly easy to cut down on is drying time and laundry softener. One way to reduce both of these is to use wool dryer balls! Wool dryer balls help prevent your clothes from clumping in the dryer, makes the fabric soft and cuts down on dry time. There are many products out there, but you want to be sure that you get one that is truly 100% wool and organic. If you want to make your clothes smell just a little better, try adding a couple drops of your favorite essential oils. Also, if you are a person that is sensitive to dyes, smells, etc. you may want to read this article before using those dryer sheets again.
Hopes
As you may or may not know, we work with a charity in Kathmandu, Nepal supporting underprivileged women. We believe that it is our duty as business owners and good samaritans to help others in need. We are providing these women with jobs and stability. We want you to love our products and wouldn’t sell any products we wouldn’t put in our own house. We only source ethical products from premium partners and stick to natural products (wool, bamboo, charcoal) as much as possible, and go organic where we can.
